Mr. Ian Power, Elementary Coordinator has 10 years of teaching experience and has worked at Summit International School for 6 years. Originally from Ireland, he holds a Bachelor’s degree in History and Irish Language and a Postgraduate Degree in Primary Education. Outside of school he loves all things sport related and enjoys playing Hurling and Gaelic Football (Irish sports).
Mr. Dube: Pastoral Care Coordinator, Mr. Sheunesu Dube brings along twenty three years of teaching experience to Summit International School. Has worked as an English Language teacher and Curriculum coordinator in Zimbabwe, Botswana, South Africa and now in the United Arab Emirates.
He holds a Diploma in Education, a BA in English and currently is in his final year, studying towards a Master’s in Education with Essex University (London). A strong believer of student safety and discipline, Mr. Dube goes with the saying, ‘Discipline that Counts’.
Andreas Xeroudakis, Middle & High School Math Coordinator / High School Math Teacher has over 12 years’ experience in teaching various math curricula in Greece and the UAE.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree of Education in Mathematics from the University of Patras, Greece, a Master’s degree in Deaf Education from the University of Patras, Greece, and certificates in teaching math at both MYP and DP from the International Baccalaureate Organization. Andreas loves to cook – particularly Greek food, dance Greek traditional songs, Latin and disco music, watch movies and TV series, and meet new people from various countries and learn about different cultures. He has been at Summit for 2 years.
Katarina Bulic, Middle & High School English Coordinator has 8 years’ experience of teaching English and English Social Studies in the UAE. She holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in English Language and Literature from University of Belgrade, Serbia. Ms. Katarina loves to read novels, hike, do stand-up paddle boarding and yoga around Abu Dhabi, explore new places and their cuisines, and learn new languages. At school, she enjoys learning about and from her students and seeks new ways to make learning more fun.
An enthusiastic and ambitious Arabic Teacher and Coordinator for middle and high school with a record of leading the Arabic department for grades 1 to 8 in the United Arab Emirates, and becoming a vice principal in Egypt. Experienced in using technology and computer-based applications in the classroom. Enjoys finding new ways to be creative in the classroom without relying solely on the schoolbook, this applies to students of different nationalities and individual capabilities.

I hold a UAE academic diploma in education, as well as an American BA in the same field.
I held capacities as Teacher for Arabic subjects for Arab and non-Arab students (KG-8th Grade), Vice-principal, Director American Syllabus school in Abu Dhabi for 13 consecutive years and Director of training department at Real Time Institute in Abu Dhabi for three years; I am a certified trainer in leadership and management and accredited as “Trainer of Trainers” by Dubai Knowledge Authority as well as an “Assessor” (evaluation of potential creativity) by The International Center for Innovation in Education (ICIE-Germany).
I held numerous courses specializing in educational fields in cooperation with several entities in Abu Dhabi. I am also keen learner and researcher in relationships between elements of innovative education (such as artistic activities, imagination abilities and natural
phenomena …) on one hand, and educational difficulties on the other hand, and how these elements affect development of self-education in pre-adolescence focusing in parenting styles for gifted children.
I am serving professionally the field of gifted student training for over a year and half, and give online lessons for talented students.
Personally, I am an enthusiastic volunteer for humanitarian and educational work such as with Emirates Red Crescent and Scout Commission, and a passionate reader in various fields, especially education, psychology and sociology, and an amateur artist in Arabic Calligraphy and expressive painting, appreciated for example by the Cultural Foundation for participation in their activities, and of course I am a devoted mother, wife and family member.
I am a proud member in Al-Qimma (Summit) School staff for 8 years now, and lead our distinguished team of “Al-Roqq’y” (Ascent), serving KG through primary school, and dedicated to constant innovation and creativity.
Ms. Mary Beth ( Head of Inclusion) has been working in the field of Special Education for 20 years and describes herself as an advocate for the children. She holds a Master’s Degree in Cross Curriculum Special Education and has a TSOL endorsement. While working in a Tribal School in New Mexico, she discovered the joys of living in another culture and wanted to experience more.
She moved to the UAE seven years ago and has made it her second home. She enjoys working not only with the students, but with their families as well. She has watched her students overcome adversities and is amazed at their strength and perseverance. She wants to give all students the self-confidence to understand that they can learn, be independent, and successful. Mary Beth enjoys reading, being outside, meeting new people, and enjoying “adventures” with her friends.
Ms. Kimberly Barker, Elementary Coordonator has worked in Early Childhood Education for 11 years and is passionate about offering young students a strong foundation that promotes independence, confidence and exploration. She has a BA in Social Studies, completed a study program for ECE teacher certification and holds a MS in Education with a focus on inclusion.
She has worked in both the USA and UAE and has loved her experience meeting colleagues and families from all over the world.
She loves to read, write, sing and dance and is an advocate for healthy living, we only get one body, we must treasure it.
