Elementary School Curriculum

Summit International Elementary School follows the State of California Common Core Curriculum for English, Mathematics, English Social Studies, HPE, Visual Arts, Music and ICT; Next Generation Science Standards or NGSS for Science and MOE program guided by ADEK for Moral Education, Arabic, Islamic and Arabic Social Studies.

All Elementary School programs are aligned with the UAE’s Ministry of Education’s Elementary School (cycle 1) requirements as we prepare our students for Middle School, and are designed for students to progress their critical thinking skills through collaborative learning and problem solving in order to become independent learners. From Grades 1 through 5 the elementary learners experience, practice and master age appropriate learning skills, concepts and extend this to their real life experiences.

Elementary programs have successfully integrated adaptive software technology and the triangulation of data with aim of meeting our students at their level to facilitate their learning progress to achieve their growth to attain grade level requirements and often beyond. Elementary focuses on building life skills to ensure our students can confidently continue on their individual learning path.
